Rimfire Matches;
Total of 40 rounds for record firing, unlimited sighters. 1st. relay is 20 rounds in 20 minutes at 50 yards, with unlimited sighters during that 20 minutes. 4 record targets are shot 5 times each, for the total of 20 rounds.
2nd. Relay is 20 record rounds in 20 minutes at 100 yards, with unlimited sighters within the 20 minutes. 2 record targets are shot 10 times each for total of 20 rounds. At the end of second relay you’ve shot 40 rounds for score, and hopefully total of 400 points, each shot has potential of being 10 points. Points are counted over X`s ( Bull’s-eye’s) X`s are used to break a tie in points. Shooting a “Clean” score is shooting 400 points. Total scores that have the same points & X count are considered Ties, with both receiving the same season points
There are two classes of shooters in Rimfire; Prone, (laying on your stomach and using a Sling for support). The most popular class is “Benchrest, and is the second class. The benchrest class is any rest from the bench, and using any Rim fire rifle. There are no limitations on Rifles (except being Rim fire) in our Rimfire shoots. Takes about 1 hour to complete. The “Ten” ring at 50 yards is the same size as the “X” ring at 100 yards. The “9” ring at 50 yards is the same size as the 10 ring at 100 yards. The X ring is 4/10ths. of an inch at 50 yards, but to touch either side takes a rifle that is able to hold ½” at 50 yards. Scored “Best Edge Scoring” means that to score the higher value, you only have to touch the scoring ring with the bullet hole. Cost is $ 6.00, includes targets.

Varmint Rifle Matches; Centerfire rifles held at 200 yards, with all shooting done off the Bench. Course of fire WAS 20 record rounds in 30 minutes, with unlimited sighters. In 2007 we’re going to 25 record rounds in 40 minutes. Five shots are shot at 5 record targets, for total of 25 rounds, with one sighter target, that can be shot at unlimited times. The new targets will be 200 yard IBS “Hunter Benchrest targets” with 6 targets on one page. (5 record targets & one sighter) These new targets are the same size as targets used in the past. X ring is 4/10ths. of an inch, with the “10” ring being 1.00” in diameter.
There are 2 classes of Rifles in the Varmint shoots; 1) Varmint Class is any centerfire rifle with a forend width LESS than 2.5” at the widest point, and if a “Bolt Action” it must have a magazine. The Forend width and magazine requirement are the only two restrictions for Varmint Rifles.2) Rifles with a forend 2.5” or wider , or Rifles that are “Bolt Action Single shot” fall into “Benchrest Rifles” and considered more accurate. A Varmint Rifle may shoot in the Benchrest Class Relay if the shooter so desires, However the Benchrest Rifles will not be scored in the Class relay reserved strictly for Varmint Rifles. In other words you can move up in class with a Varmint rifle, but you can’t move down with a Benchrest Rifle. There are No restrictions on Optics, Rifle weight, caliber, or Front & rear rests. If you are unable to complete the course of fire with a rifle, you may finish with a different rifle, as long as it meets the rules for the class it’s shooting in, and shooting completed with in the original start time. The basic Target is a NRA 50 yard Small bore, but set at 200 yards, it has the same size rings as a 50 yard Small bore target. Scored best edge scoring, Points count over X`s, with X`s used to break a tie in points. Total scores with the same point & X count are considered Ties, and shall have the same final place finish.
Cost is $6.00 for each relay/Class, Targets included. All scoring will be done by designated scorer, appointed by match director.
