   Salonie Creek Outdoor Rifle & Pistol Range

          This range is located 11.5 miles on Rezanof South of the City of Kodiak.  Go passed the Coast Guard ISC and pass Bells Flats. Shortly after you pass the Salonie Creek Bridge, watch for the KIB and the rifle range signs on the right side of the road. 

A key is required at the KIB gate if you wish to drive your motor vehicle to the rifle or pistol range. The distance from the gate to the shooting line is 1.3 miles. 

Walkers, please watch for BEARS.  This range is open 24/7, but there may be closures due to use by AFFILIATED Organizations.  WATCH the web page for updates regarding closed days.          Remember, your membership key works at both the outdoor Monashka Bay Range and the Salonie Creek gate.         

There are (2) ranges at Salonie Creek;

the 1st is a 50 yard pistol and light rifle range, and the 2^nd is a 500 yard rifle range that has target carriers behind the 500 yard berm.

These carriers are operated by the CRO of the range and the volunteer members running a High-Power Rifle Match.   The firing line has shooting benches that are built by our volunteers, please take care of them, shoot safe and clean up your targets when you are done.
